South Texas Chili Fixin's - Traditional Bowl of Red

Method

  1. In a large cast iron skillet, brown the stew meat and ground beef, then drain the grease.
  2. Add Chili Fixin's, crushed whole peeled tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, beef stock, and Lone Star Beer.
  3. Cook on medium-low for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add water if needed for your desired consistency, then salt to taste.
  4. Serve steaming hot in a Texas-sized bowl.

Serve it up. Top with pinto beans and rice, or serve with hot cornbread.
